When Tim Duncan stated that he was a “Spur for Life” there was no doubt where he would be finishing his career. So with little fanfare (as opposed to the Dwightmare) Tim Duncan has stated that he will be resigning with the San Antonio Spurs.
“The San Antonio Spurs announced Wednesday that they had re-signed Duncan, bringing back the 36-year-old forward for at least a 16th season. Terms were not disclosed, though Yahoo Sports cited anonymous sources in reporting it was a three-year, $36 million deal.”
Yahoo Sports is reporting.
This 3 year contract means that Tim Duncan fans will get to see greatness for a few more seasons. The former #1 draft pick is in the twilight of his career, but he is still capable of putting up far than decent numbers. He should be able to contribute a whole lot to the Spurs, who are still considered one of the better teams in the Western Conference, despite their epic failure in the 2012 Western Conference finals.
